What a perfect May day for a field trip at First Generation Farmers! Ms. Land’s 4th grade class from Garin Elementary School had a great time learning about making a compost pile, chickens, goats and how to plant their own seeds! From there, they went to Raley’s where they got a tour of the produce department and a behind the scenes tour of the store. Back there, they learned about how Raley’s composts, recycles and stocks shelves – the kids even got to go in the freezer where it was about -10 degrees! Thank you First Generation Farmers and Raley’s for making these trips possible!
