Theresa Kiehn has dedicated her career to the non-profit and small business sectors, serving in a variety of strategic, operational capacities, currently as the Acting President and Chief Executive Officer of AgSafe. Her career also includes tenure with the Great Valley Center, where she became involved with providing organizational support and transactional resources to land trusts protecting farmland in the Central Valley.
In working with non-profits and family businesses for nearly 25 years, Theresa closely identifies with organizations striving to make an impact in an array of social and economic environments. Leveraging resources and developing creative strategic solutions are core competencies for Theresa as she works to develop organizational capacity and sustainability.
In addition to joining the board of the California Farmland Trust, Theresa also serves on the Turlock Farmers Market Board of Directors, the Salas Family Foundation, is a member of Modesto Downtown Rotary, and is engaged in a variety of capacities with her faith-based community. She possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Stanislaus. She and her husband are the proud parents of their 14-year-old son. In her off time, before 2020, you could usually find Theresa in the stadium of a baseball field or watching an orchestra concert, cheering on their son. She is also an avid jogger and loves to spend time at farmers’ markets connecting people with fresh, local produce.
“I am honored to be involved with the California Farmland Trust in an official capacity and do my part to ensure the legacy of California agriculture continues into perpetuity,” she said.
