
Matthew Grizzle serves as the Operations Director for the California Farmland Trust, where he oversees daily operations, staff management, strategic planning, and financial oversight. He brings more than 25 years of experience in executive leadership, business ownership, and nonprofit administration.
Before joining CFT, Matthew founded Invictus Management, a nonprofit consulting firm, and worked as the Northern California Business Development Manager for Staples, Inc. He previously served as Executive Director of the Miracle Mile Improvement District in Stockton, where he championed small business support and district revitalization, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. For nearly a decade, he was the owner and operator of Midtown Creperie & Café, an award-winning restaurant and catering business that was featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Deeply committed to community service, Matthew served for over four years as a Director on the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce Board. Within Rotary, he spent eight years as Club Secretary for the Rotary Club of Stockton and now serves as the President-Elect for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. He continues to serve as Secretary of the Stockton Rotary Endowment. He has held leadership roles in numerous service organizations and has been a proud member of the Masonic Family for over 30 years.
A lifelong learner, Matthew recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University after returning to school following a 25-year gap. He is currently enrolled in the MBA program at California State University, Stanislaus, further expanding his expertise in strategic leadership and organizational management. He also holds certifications in Business Leadership, Social Media Marketing, Commercial Fundamentals, and Nonprofit Management from the University of the Pacific.
Matthew lives in Turlock with his wife, Michelle, and their blended family of four children. He is passionate about farmland conservation, community development, and creating a balanced life rooted in service, education, and purpose.
