Charlotte is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and a concentration in finance and appraisal. She has served her entire professional career in agriculture, spending nearly two decades with both the California Farm Bureau and Sacramento County Farm Bureau. She serves on various boards and committees, including secretary and treasurer for the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, Ag Innovations, Sacramento County Ag Advisory Committee, Florin High School Ag Advisory Committee, and treasurer of the California Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team. She is a graduate of the California Agricultural Leadership Program and is a managing partner of Mitchell Farms, a diversified family farming operation in Sacramento County.
Charlotte was born and raised on a cattle and sheep operation along the Sonoma County coast and now resides with her husband Ken, and their two sons on the family farm. Her motivation to live and work in the agriculture industry is to see the next generation be afforded the opportunities that exist in agriculture. She has a commitment and passion for ensuring her boys will have the opportunity to be the 6th-generation to farm.
