California Farmland Trust is pleased to announce the permanent protection of the Fiorini Ranch farmland in Merced County, owned and operated by a multi-generational family, the Fiorinis.

The Fiorini Ranch is an important addition to the block of farmland around the Delhi community in Merced County that will forever be protected as farmland. The Ranch makes up a portion of the agricultural operation owned and operated by a multi-generational family, the Fiorinis. Today, the fourth generation is involved in the operation with the fifth generation spending time on the Ranch and in Grandpa’s shop.

We look forward to you joining us in celebrating the protection of this property with lunch at the El Capitan Merced along with the Fiorini Family, the Henry Mayo Newhall family, and all those who contributed to help make this project happen.

The placement of this easement could not have happened without the generous support of the Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation. Like the Fiorinis, the Newhalls have a long history in California. These roots to the land and their patriarch Henry Newhall’s love of ranching inspired the family’s creation of the Foundation endowment. In addition to the Foundation grant, many of our generous supporters also contributed to the success of this project.
