Central Valley Farmland Trust was one of three land trusts in California to receive accreditation in September 2008, and remains the longest accredited exclusively agricultural land trust in California’s Central Valley. This program is administered by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance.
Accredited land trusts meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands. Our accredited status demonstrates our commitment to organizational excellence. Additionally, it confirms we have the systems in place to ensure the long-term success of our organization and the ability to protect the most important farmland in the world in perpetuity.
Every five years, accredited land trusts must apply for renewal accreditation. We are currently undergoing this extensive renewal process and anticipate receiving our renewal early in 2014. For additional information on accreditation contact Susan at shooper@cafarmtrust.org.
